10-length debut bumper winner for Vinnie Roe

The Nicky Richards-trained Sir Vinski (5g Vinnie Roe-Mill Emerald, by Old Vic) made a huge impression on his first racecourse start at Kelso on Saturday when running away with a bumper by 10 lengths.

The son of Vinnie Roe saw off 13 opponents to land the race in great style under Brian Harding and Richards sees the winner as an exciting long-term prospect.

“He is such a laid-back sort of horse you didn’t know what to expect but when you give him a squeeze he goes – Brian Harding said that with another couple of furlongs he would have won by twice as far. That may be it for the season for him, we will see,” Richards told www.racingpost.com
