Mount Haven (4g Mountain High-Castlehaven, by Erins Isle) looks yet another exciting prospect for Mountain High after running away with a Fontwell bumper by 16 lengths on Wednesday evening.
The former point-to-pointer was making his first start for trainer David Pipe after being bought for £38,000 at Brightwells’ Cheltenham Sale in April and he looks a horse with a considerable future.
Mount Haven, bred by Eamonn and Liam O’Donovan, made all in the bumper under Tom Scudamore, who told the Racing Post: “David (Pipe) found him at the Cheltenham sales and he´d shown a similar level at home to recent bumper winners of ours at Towcester and Ffos Las. He has a very nice attitude and did that really nicely.”
Meanwhile Mountain High had an impressive first-time out point-to-point winner on Sunday when the Donnchadh Doyle-trained Mr Mountain (4g Mountain High-Not Mine, by Oscar) scored by five lengths at Kinsale.
