26-length win for Yeats mare

Brilliant Yeats mare Shattered Love (6m Yeats-Tracker, by Bustino) made the perfect start to her career over fences when scoring by 26 lengths at Fairyhouse on Saturday. The Gordon Elliott-trained six-year-old, already a Grade 3 hurdling winner (pictured), black-type bumper performer and point-to-point scorer - looks set to add to her illustrious record as a chaser this season following this runway success in Gigginstown House Stud’s colours. “Jack (Kennedy) said she never really came out of second or third gear but she wouldn't have wanted to,” reported Elliott. “He said she jumped well the whole way; I loved how down over the last two she was straight as a die. “We're under no illusions that she's going to have improve a lot from that run and we'll see what happens.”

Shattered Love was bred in Ireland by Limetree Stud.
