Rock Of Gibraltar head shot

2yo Tony Curtis is new Rock star

Connections have high hopes for Tony Curtis (2c Rock Of Gibraltar-Strawberry Lolly, by Lomitas) after an effortless victory from the high-class juvenile in Listed company on Wednesday night.

The Rock Of Gibraltar colt, an Epsom maiden winner on his debut, landed the Listed Stonehenge Stakes by three and a quarter lengths for trainer Richard Hannon.

“Tony Curtis is going to be a very good horse and probably next year might be his best time. He is growing and is going to improve a lot over the winter,” said the winning trainer’s father Richard Hannon senior.

Tony Curtis, who was bred by Newsells Park Stud, holds entries in the G1 Racing Post Trophy and G2 Royal Lodge Stakes.
