340,000gns colt stars at Tatts for Cape Blanco

Cape Blanco’s first-crop yearlings made a big splash at the Keeneland September Sale with prices of up to $450,000 and that popularity continued at Tattersalls on Tuesday at the first day of the October Sale.

John Warren saw off Charlie Gordon-Watson to get a 340,000gns son of the trans-Atlantic superstar from the family of El Gran Senor offered from Glenvale Stud.

Warren’s son Jake told EBN: “He has been bought for a client of Highclere and will come back to the stud. He is an absolutely lovely colt, free moving and a proper horse that we are very excited about. We have seen a few nice Cape Blancos and think he has the potential to be a nice sire.”
