$420,000 for Encosta Colt

Champion sire Encosta de Lago finished the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale on a good note with a colt from Sequin selling for $420,000.

Consigned by Highgrove Stud, the colt was purchased by Macau based buyer P Lee and is a half-brother to stakes-winner Get to Work from the family of HK Group I winner Scintillation and former star mare Shania Dane.

Encosta de Lago has had 28 yearlings sell at Easter at an average $212,105 led by his sensational filly from Group II winner Amelia’s Dream that made $910,000 for Edinglassie Stud to the bid of James Harron Bloodstock
