A trip to the Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita could be on the cards for Pleaseletmewin (2g Power-Jacaranda Ridge, by Indian Ridge) after the son of Power changed hands for 450,000gns (£472,500) at Tattersalls on Wednesday.
The classy son of Power was bought by trainer Gassim Al Ghazali on behalf of Qatar’s leading owner Sheail Al Kuwari and connections are deciding whether to take up an entry in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf next weekend.
Pleaseletmewin headed to Tattersalls on the back of a victory in the G3 Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury for trainer Ralph Beckett,
“That felt like pressure. When I came from Qatar to here I had only one name in mind. If he was not withdrawn he was coming back with me, 100 per cent. I didn’t put any limit on him,” said Al Ghazali.
“We’ve had our eye on him for three or four weeks now. I’ve bought him for Sheail Al Kuwari, who is the leading owner in Qatar. I will talk to him about plans.”
