6-length win for “smashing” Most Improved colt

Jockey Graham Lee believes that I’m Improving (2c Most Improved-Shebella, by Black Sam Bellamy) could make up into an exciting three-year-old following his runaway victory on Monday afternoon.

Paul and Clare Rooney’s Most Imrproved colt, trainer by Keith Dalgleish, won a Redcar novices’ event by six lengths in the style of a really smart performer.

“I’m Improving is still learning his job and he’s still unfurnished. He’ll hopefully be a smashing horse next year,” said Lee.

The Racing Post’s analysis noted: “This looked a useful performance. I’M IMPROVING travelled strongly into contention and, despite still looking pretty green when asked to go and win his race, quickened up well to win with plenty in hand. He can only improve from two to three and looks to have plenty of potential.”
