Fastnet Rock ex Delta Girl yearling colt selling for $600,000 at the 2015 Magic Millions Yearling Sale

$600,000 for Fastnet Colt

Champion sire Fastnet Rock provided the top priced colt during the first session of the 2015 Magic Millions Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast on Wednesday when his stylish bay from Delta Girl sold for $600,000. The second foal of a young juvenile stakes-winning daughter of General Nediym, he was bought by champion trainer Chris Waller, who has already tasted Group I success this season with Fastnet Rock, having prepared his three year-old filly Amicus to win the Group I MRC Thousand Guineas. Amicus was bought from this very same sale in 2013 for $500,000, so Waller will be hoping to repeat his success. Delta Girl has a colt foal by Golden Slipper winner Pierro and is now back in foal to Fastnet Rock. At the end of session one, Fastnet Rock was the leading sire by average with three youngsters averaging $433,333.
