The first Southern Hemisphere bred weanlings by Henrythenavigator have been in keen demand at Australasian weanling sales this year with another top class filly finding favour during the first session of the Inglis Australian Select Weanling Sale on Wednesday.
New Zealand buyer Dean Hawthorne went to $70,000 for a stylish filly by the four-time Group I winner, whose weanlings have been extremely popular.
“She is a very good walking filly that looks fast and early,” said Hawthorne.
“The sire was a champion miler and it’s hard not to be impressed by him.”
Prepared by Middlebrook, the filly is from the stakes placed Danehill mare Danesty from the family of former star filly Danendri.
