$750,000 for Scat Daddy Filly

The first day of the OBS March Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training produced a big result for Scat Daddy with a filly from Global Finance fetching $750,000 to be the highest priced filly of the session.

Consigned for sale by McKathan Bros, Agent III, the star filly was a very successful pinhook having been sourced originally for $180,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Yearling Sale.

She was bought by M.V. Magnier and is a half-sister to stakes-winner Prenuptial from stakes-winning End Sweep mare Global Finance.

M.V. Magnier secured a sale-topping son of Scat Daddy for $1.4 million at Fasig-Tipton Florida 2YO Sale earlier this month and was happy to sign for this filly, who scorched the track when breezing a furlong in 9 3/5 seconds.

“She worked very quickly and Scat Daddy is doing so well at the moment,” said Magnier.

“She’s a big, strong filly. She looks like she hopefully will keep improving and hopefully we’ll see her at Royal Ascot.”

Scat Daddy also had good results with colts from Deadly Diva fetching $530,000, from Molly Peaches making $360,000 and from Hopeoverexperience making $300,000.
