Dancing Rain (3f Danehill Dancer-Rain Flower, by Indian Ridge), an outstanding winner of the G1 Oaks at Epsom in June, was equally impressive when bagging another G1 success in Germany on Sunday.
The William Haggas-trained filly, carrying the colours of Martin and Lee Taylor, lined up in the G1 Preis der Diana (the German Oaks) in Dusseldorf and made much of the running to score impressively under Kieren Fallon.
In second place was Djumama (3f Aussie Rules-Western Sky, by Barathea) with Aigrette Garzette (3f Peintre Celebre-Aigrette, by Gone West) coming third to complete another Classic 1-2-3 for Coolmore sires.
Dancing Rain is a three-parts sister to Sumora, the dam of Sunday’s G2 Debutante Stakes heroine Maybe (2f Galileo-Sumora, by Danehill).
She was bred by the Sangster family’s Swettenham Stud and made 200,000 euros as a yearling at Goffs when sold from Camas Park Stud to agent Liam Norris, who was looking for a long-term breeding prospect for the Taylor brothers.
