Another Grade One Win for Solaria

A Grade I winner in Chile and a promising debut winner at Saratoga made it a good weekend for leading young sire Scat Daddy.

High class filly Solaria (2f Scat Daddy x So Linda, by Seeker’s Reward) nailed her second Grade I victory when capturing the Clasico Polla de Potrancas over a mile by four and a half lengths with another Scat Daddy filly in Dalala (2f Scat Daddy x Daja, by Seeker’s Reward) holding third place.

Trained by Patricio Baeza, Solaria has been the dominant filly in Chile winning six of seven starts and finishing second in her only defeat.

Solaria is the best of five winners from stakes-winner So Linda.

Scat Daddy also had the second place-getter in the colts equivalent with Knock Out (3c Scat Daddy x Kassanova, by Fly So Free) beaten a neck in the Clasico Polla de Potrillos.

Also in the winner’s circle, but this time at Saratoga was Scat Away (3f Scat Daddy x Runaway Tiger, by Runaway Groom), who looked a filly on the up in scoring a half length win over seven furlongs for the Linda Rice stable.
