Dell Oro (4g Walk In The Park-Kallistea, by Sicyos) began his hurdling career on a bright note at Ascot on Saturday with a stylish success.
A bumper winner on his debut in March, the Walk In The Park gelding stayed on well in this 1m 7f novices’ hurdle to beat the more-experienced American Gigolo comfortably.
Trainer Gary Moore predicts a bright future for the four-year-old.
“That was a nice start for Dell Oro and I’ve always liked him a lot; he’s got talent. We’ll look for another novice under a penalty and go from there. I think we’ll stick to two miles for now as he’s only four,” said Moore.
