New 2YO Stakes-Winner for Uncle Mo

Breaking the ice for her first stakes win at Hastings on Monday night was promising filly My Aunt Mo (2f Uncle Mo x The Other Woman, by Tiznow), who took out the $50,000 Hard Rock Casino Stakes. Trained by Glen Todd, this daughter of Uncle Mo was a winner on debut in June before finishing third in a stakes race at Emerald Downs after being slowly away. She bounced back from that defeat to win this six and a half furlong sprint by a commanding three and a quarter lengths. An $85,000 Keeneland September purchase, My Aunt Mo runs for the North American Thoroughbred Horse Company and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Super Hawk from the Other Woman, a sister to Grade II winner Informed.

My Aunt Mo is the 33rd stakes-winner for champion sire Uncle Mo, whose progeny were a hot commodity at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale this week.
