Aussie Rules juvenile wins in Listed company

Duck Feet (2g Aussie Rules-Benelux, by Zafonic) confirmed himself one of Italy’s most-exciting juveniles when winning the Listed Premio Vittorio Riva in Milan on Sunday.

The son of Aussie Rules won his maiden on July 31 before going on to take a conditions race by six lengths on September 4. Stepped up to black-type company, he scored by two lengths in impressive style at Milan on Sunday.

The Stefano Botti-trained two-year-old, a bargain 5,500 euros yearling purchase from Tattersalls Ireland, was bred by Kevin and Meta Cullen, who later enjoyed G1 glory on Sunday when Wigmore Hall (4g High Chaparral-Lover And Laughter, by Theatrical) won the G1 Northern Dancer Stakes at Woodbine.
