Aussie Stakes-Winner for Dylan

Dylan Thomas conformation

Improving Aussie bred gelding Dylanson (5g Dylan Thomas x Nena Canida, by Canny Lad) posted his second Black Type win when taking out the Listed SAJC City of Adelaide Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday.

The Phillip Stokes trained Dylanson scored a tenacious neck win over 1400 metres under 58kg and has now won seven of 23 starts and over $250,000 in prizemoney.

A modest $25,000 Inglis Easter purchase for his trainer from the Edinglassie Stud draft, Dylanson was bred by John Foote Bloodstock and is the best of four winners from Nena Candida, a half-sister to Group I winners Nadeem and Billion Win from Oaks winner Candide.

Nena Candida was covered last year by Epsom Derby winner Camelot.

Dylanson is one of 19 stakes-winners for Dylan Thomas, who shuttled to Australia for five seasons.
