St Leger (Group 1)
“Leading Light and Foundry are in good form. Leading Light was due to go to York last month but that wasn’t possible because of a minor hold-up. But he’s in good form and he showed at Ascot when winning the Queen’s Vase that he stays well. Foundry was having his first run of the year, and only the second race of his career, when finishing second in the Great Voltigeur Stakes. He surprised us a bit that day as he hadn’t a lot done. We’ve been happy with him since.
Renaissance Stakes (Group 3)
“Cristoforo Colombo has been ready to start back for the past few weeks. He was due to run at York until the ground went against him. He’s in against older horses but we’re happy with him. We’re hoping the ground doesn’t go soft for him.
Blandford Stakes (Group 2)
“We won this race with Up a year ago and we’re hoping for a good run from Magical Dream. We think the distance of one and a quarter miles is probably more her trip than a mile. Any ease in the ground wouldn’t be a problem for her.”
