Ballydoyle Saturday Newmarket runners – Aidan O’Brien’s comments

Challenge Stakes-Gr.3
“We’re dropping Darwin back to seven furlongs from one mile and it’s possible we might try him over shorter in the future. He’s in good form and we’re trying cheekpieces on him.”

Middle Park Stakes-Gr.1
“We gave Great White Eagle a little break after his last run and he’s in good form. We’re happy with him. He has plenty of speed and travels well in his races.”

Dewhurst Stakes-Gr.1
War Command had a little break after his win in the Futurity. We’ve been happy with his recent work and he’s in good form. Like our other runners at Newmarket, the better the ground the more it will suit him. Friendship is well; he’s made the running a few times in the past although not last time.”

Autumn Stakes-Gr.3
Oklahoma City has been kept busy and while it was only last Saturday that he won the Tattersalls Millions race over the same course, he is taking his races well and seems to be in good form. He’s been Group 2 placed over a mile, so going back up in distance shouldn’t be a problem.”

Darley Stakes-Gr.3
Afonso De Sousa made the running when third at Dundalk last week and Joseph said he raced too keenly and made things hard for himself. He came out of the race well and we’re happy with him.”
