Black-type double for Holy Roman Emperor 3yos

Leopardstown G3 1,000 Guineas Trial heroine Homecoming Queen (3f Holy Roman Emperor-Lagrion, by Diesis) and seven-length German Listed winner Amarillo (3c Holy Roman Emperor-Alte Kunst, by Royal Academy) completed a double for their sire on Sunday.

Homecoming Queen, a three-parts sister to Dylan Thomas, was a Listed winner and G3-placed last year and she looks set to step into Classic company after this Leopardstown success.

"Homecoming Queen is a hardy filly," trainer Aidan O’Brien told www.racingpost.com. "She came on nicely from her first run of the season and we will probably let her take her chance in one of the Guineas, be it Newmarket, the Curragh or at Longchamp."

Meanwhile at Dusseldorf, the Peter Schiergen-trained Amarillo looked another exciting prospect when taking the Listed Preis der Dreijahrigen by an impressive seven lengths in the style of a smart three-year-old.
