Oratorio’s daughter Cherry Collect (2f Oratorio-Holy Moon, by Hernando) marked herself one of the best juvenile fillies in Italy on Sunday with a polished victory at San Siro in Milan.
The Stefano Botti-trained filly, who had scored at the same track on June 14, always looked to good for her rivals in the Listed Premio Mantovani, run over seven and a half furlongs, as she came home three-quarters of a length ahead of Rosa Eglanteria. The pair were five lengths clear of the third.
“Cherry Collect justified favouritism to open her black-type account and suggest she can be a force in the country’s upcoming Group races,” noted TDN.
Cherry Collect was bred by Razza del Velino and realised 65,000 euros as a yearling at the SGA sale in September.
