Camelot’s Deauville Delights

An international group of buyers were taken by Camelot’s second-crop yearlings on offer at this week’s Arqana August Sale in Deauville.

Among them was a €280,000 granddaughter of G1 Del Mar Oaks third Premiere Creation consigned by Fairway Consignment. The first foal of Danish Delight (by Danehill Dancer), the filly heads to Japan after selling to Shadai Farm.

A Camelot filly out of Gyrella (by Oasis Dream), a half-sister to G1 Derby hero Wings Of Eagles (by Pour Moi), realised €200,000 when selling to Ghislain Bozo of Meridian International.

US agent J J Crupi, paying his first visit to Arqana, paid €120,000 for a Camelot filly out of Spring Star (by Danehill) to race in America while Pau trainer Jean-Claude Rouget spent €110,000 on another daughter of Camelot.
