Agamemmon (Getaway) winning a point-to-point at Milbourne St Andrew

Classy bumper winner for Getaway

Four-year-old Agamemmon (4g Getaway-Oscar Road, by Oscar) made a winning Rules debut on Tuesday when landing a competitive bumper for Getaway. A point-to-point winner in March (pictured), Tom Lacey’s charge cruised clear of 13 rivals under Tommie O’Brien in the bumper. “Agamemmon is a horse with plenty of ability so it was good to see him show it on the track. He´s a horse for the future and should be nice over hurdles in time,” O’Brien told the Racing Post. The Racing Post analysis added: “A good test for these bumper horses and the first four, three of whom were point winners, came clear. AGAMEMMON, a 2m4f maiden point winner in March, travelled well and really dug in for pressure to make a successful rules debut. He showed signs of inexperience, so should improve, and whether or not he defies a penalty he rates a useful jumps prospect.” Agamemmon was bred by Seamus Neville.
