Classy Shwaimsa makes it 25 for Canford Cliffs

Shwaimsa (Canford Cliffs) winning on debut at Haydock Park

The remarkable Canford Cliffs success story just runs and runs and on Friday it was the turn of Shwaimsa (2f Canford Cliffs-Sharp Point, by Royal Academy) to make a sparkling winning debut for the superstar first-season sire.

The Richard Hannon-trained filly carried the colours of Al Shaqab Racing to a striking victorious debut in the six-furlong maiden to become the 25th winner for Canford Cliffs.

Winning rider Sean Levey told the Racing Post: “That was the first time I’ve ever sat on Shwaimsa and looking at her she´s a scopey type who I thought would probably want seven or a mile, but going to the start she felt like she had a bit of class about her, and to go and win like she did she probably does. She´s definitely one to look forward to.”
