Progressive Dalkala (3f Giant’s Causeway-Daltaya, by Anabaa) saw off some high-class rivals at Longchamp on Saturday to win the G2 Prix de Royallieu.

The Aga Khan’s home-bred daughter of Giant’s Causeway fought off G1 Irish Oaks runner-up Shirocco Star to win the contest, run over a distance just short of 10 furlongs.
The Alain de Royer Dupre-trained winner is out of a sister to Daylami and Dalakhani and after the race her owner paid tribute to his team of fiilies.

“My operation is about breeding and the fillies are the most important aspect of it. Apart from the loss of Valyra, we have done extremely well with the fillies this year,” the Aga Khan told PA Sport.
