La Pomme D’Amour (4f Peintre Celebre-Winnebago, by Kris) carried the colours of Yorkshire-based breeder Guy Reed to an impressive victory in the G2 Prix de Pomone – Haras d’Etreham at Deauville on Saturday.
The progressive Peintre Celebre filly was saddled by Andre Fabre to score by two lengths over an extended mile and a half under Maxime Guyon.
“She was stepping up in trip to 2,500 metres but she’s a very relaxed filly and I had no worries on that score. She’s confirmed her ability and as well as being very straightforward she is tough as well,” Guyon told www.racingpost.com
La Pomme D’Amour comes from a family that has served Reed well, as a half-sister to his 2003 Lincoln winner Pablo and a full-sister to the Longchamp Listed winner Van Gosh (8m Peintre Celebre-Winnebago, by Kris).
