Debut Santa Anita Winner for Munnings

Talented colt Alright Alright (2c Munnings x Afare, by Meadowlake) was able to overcome a wide gate and torrid run in transit to post a debut win at Santa Anita on the weekend.

Trained by Darrell Vienna, Alright Alright covered ground throughout and was still too good in forging clear to win the six furlong maiden by half a length.

Alright Alright was a $25,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase by Harry Weisleder and Clovis Crane and blossomed into a $205,000 Barretts March juvenile after a sizzling 10 second breeze.

He is the ninth winner from good producing stakes-winner Afare and is the 15th first crop winner for former brilliant sprinter Munnings.
