Four Leaf Chief (Lookin At Lucky)

Dominant Stakes Win for Lucky Colt

Promising colt Four Leaf Chief (2c Lookin at Lucky x Pentatonic, by Cure the Blues) was in top form at Delta Downs posting a resounding win in the $150,000 Louisiana Legacy Stakes at the weekend. Already a Black Type winner having captured the Louisiana Cup Juvenile Stakes back in August, the Steve Flint trained colt was freshened after a last start fourth and was at his best to win this one mile feature by four and a half lengths. A $65,000 Keeneland September purchase, he is the eighth winner for terrific producer and Grade III winner Pentatonic. He has now won three of four starts earning nearly $140,000 and looks a bright prospect for the future. Lookin at Lucky also featured at Parx Racing where Skill Not Luck (2c Lookin at Lucky x Chief Secretary, by Deputy Minister) scored his second win from three starts. The Chad Brown trained colt made it back to back wins at this venue when scoring over 1m 70yd by a length. A $320,000 purchase from the OBS April 2YO Sale, Skill Not Luck is a half-brother to stakes-winner Left a Message from a half-sister to Grade II winner and sire Exchange Rate.
