Duke Of Marmalade filly on Classic trail

So Many Shots (3f Duke Of Marmalade-Cland Di San Dore, by Lando) ran out an impressive winners of the Premio Nanoccia, a conditions event in Rome, on Sunday and is set to be targeted at the Italian Oaks.

Winning trainer Stefano Botti sent out Charity Line to land the same race and then the Italian Oaks last season. She went on to capture the G1 Premio Lydia Tesio.

He told EBN: “I think at this stage is unfair to compare So Many Shots with the filly who won the Italian Oaks and the Premio Lydia Tesio. I am very pleased because So Many Shots really needed a run and will improve a lot. She is a strong filly, she will stay further and is a Oaks prospect, but it is a long way from this win to the Classic.”

Bred in Ireland by Sandro Garavelli, So Many Shots realised 24,000 euros as a yearling at Goffs.
