Camelot head shot

€380,000 filly leads the way for Camelot at Goffs

Camelot’s first crop are making a big splash on the racecourse and his second-crop yearlings were in demand at Goffs this week.

Among them was a sibling to this year’s G3 Gladness Stakes winner Diamond Fields (4f Fastnet Rock-Question Times, by Shamardal), who changed hands for €380,000.

The well-connected filly was consigned from Lynn Lodge Stud and was knocked down to Peter Doyle, acting for a partnership of the Mayfair Speculators and Coolmore.

“She’s a superb walker and, from the moment we first saw her at the weekend, we were very keen on her. She’s got quality and she’s from a lovely, happening family and we’re pleased to have gotten her,” said Doyle.

Meanwhile a €160,000 daughter of the great G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup winner Rebelline changed hands when knocked down to BBA Ireland.

The Camelot filly was offered for Lady O’Reilly’s Skymarc Farm from Hollyhill Stud.
