Peace Envoy (Power-Hoh My Darling, by Dansili) brought Group race glory for exciting first-season sire Power at the Curragh on Saturday.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien feels there could still be better to come from the winner, who looks set to step up at G1 company, possibly in the G1 Prix Morny at Deauville.
“He’s getting better,” said O’Brien. “Ryan was very confident riding him today. You’d have to be delighted with that and he’s very like Rock Of Gibraltar was as a two-year-old, he’s progressing and coming along lovely.
“He travelled very well and Ryan said was going to take his time on him regardless. We were looking to come back here for with (G2 Coventry Stakes winner) Caravaggio (2c Scat Daddy-Mekko Hokte, by Holy Bull) for the G1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes and they’d probably go their separate ways. The lads will decide but if that happened Peace Envoy could go to Deauville.”
Peace Envoy was bred in France by Team Hogdala and was a €125,000 graduate of the Arqana October Yearling Sale.
