Mossback (Yeats) winning a bumper at Limerick

Mossback an exciting debut winner for Yeats

Four-year-old Mossback (4g Yeats-Sejour, by Bob Back) looks another classy performer for Yeats after winning a Limerick bumper on his first racecourse start on Thursday. Trained by Pat Doyle for Gigginstown House Stud, the €62,000 store purchase made light work of his opponents to score by two and a quarter lengths to give jockey Evan Dwan a first win on the track. A half-brother to classy stayer Staying Article, he was bred by the Hore family at Mount Eaton Stud. “He is big and backward and he could do nothing but improve,” said Doyle. Exciting young sire Yeats is enjoying another great season, in the last week he is also responsible for novice hurdle winner Mere Anarchy, 4YO Auteuil hurdle winner Capivari and the Gr.2 placed pair Augusta Kate and Shattered Love.
