Alfred Nobel sired another smart winning debutant at Nottingham on Saturday evening when Explosive Lady (2f Alfred Nobel-My Girl Lisa, by With Approval) kicked off her career in eye-catching fashion.
The Karl Burke-trained filly stormed four and a half lengths clear of her opposition in the five-furlong maiden, an effort that drew many plaudits.
The Racing Post commented that the “winner looked a cut above” and that “EXPLOSIVE LADY appeared one of the most forward in the paddock. This powerfully made daughter of first-season sire Alfred Nobel travelled kindly off the pace but once the gap appeared, took the race by the scruff of the neck and motored clear under hands and heels urging. She will come on a bit for the experience, too.”
Explosive Lady, who is owned by the Market Avenue Racing Club and Elaine Burke, was bred by Georgestown Stud.
