First Foal for The Gurkha

French Guineas and Sussex Stakes winner The Gurkha (Galileo) sired his first foal when Wadacre Stud’s Trip To Glory produced a bay colt on Tuesday morning.

Stud owner Jeanette Matthews-Griffiths said: “He is a cracking foal and we are over the moon. The mare has been booked in to be covered by Churchill.”

Trip To Glory won Listed races in France at both 2 and 3 years for Jean-Claude Rouget and the Rothschild Family. Her first four foals are all winners.
