First Winner for Lookin at Lucky

An Eclipse Award winning Champion Two and Three Year Old Colt in the US, Lookin at Lucky got his stud career off to a flying start when talented filly Lucky’stormwarning (2f Lookin at Lucky x Happybirthdaygirl, by Tactical Advantage) won in good style at Gulfstream. Trained by Wesley Ward, Lucky’stormwarning showed plenty of pace to lead and then forged clear to win the four and a half furlong dash by two and three-quarter lengths on debut in near track record time. Raced by owners associated with Coolmore, Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor, and Derrick Smith, Lucky’stormwarning was a $140,000 yearling purchase from the Fasig Tipton July Sale and is the second runner for Lookin at Lucky. She is the third winner for Happybirthdaygirl, a half-sister by Tactical Advantage to stakes-winner Conquestality. A five-time Group I winning son of Smart Strike, Lookin at Lucky stands at a fee of $15,000 at Coolmore’s US base of Ashford Stud in Kentucky.
