Floramar is easy winner for Ask

There was another smart winner for Ask at Downpatrick on Friday when Floramar (5g Ask-Flora May, by Alflora) scored over hurdles.

Trained by Conor O’Dwyer for Khalid Rahim, the five-year-old took the lead after the final obstacle in the 2m 5f event to win by four and a quarter lengths with Ruby Walsh in the saddle.

“That was an unbelievable ride from Ruby,” said O’Dwyer. “The horse works very, very well at home and I was delighted when I got him. I don’t know if he wants that ground. He has won his maiden and I’m delighted.”

Floramar was bred by Tony Mullins.
