French black-type for Rip filly

Princess Charm (3f Rip Van Winkle-Gold Charm, by Key Of Luck) is likely to step up to G1 company after winning the Listed Prix Rose De Mai at Saint-Cloud on Sunday.

The Rip Van Winkle filly landed a cosy success in the 2,000-metre contest and holds engagements in the G1 Coolmore Prix Saint-Alary and the G1 Prix Diane.

“She had come on from her run 10 days ago and had been working well and that convinced us to come here,” trainer Yann Lerner told Jour de Galop. “She is now a Listed winner and is engaged in the Prix Saint-Alary and we could go there. Although we must keep our feet on the ground, that is now her third victory in very few (five) runs.”

Princess Charm, who was bred by Malcolm Parrish, was sold at the Arqana October Yearling Sale.
