Choisir conformation

Progressive sprinter Monsieur Joe (5g Choisir x Pascali, by Compton Place) has been on the improve this year and took it up a notch when winning the Group III Prix du Petit Couvert at Longchamp.

Prepared by Robert Cowell, Monsieur Joe tracked the leader in second place and then surged clear to win the five furlong dash by three-quarters of a length, his overall record now eight wins and nine placings from 36 starts.

Monsieur Joe may head to the Group I Prix de l’ Abbaye in October or be eased for a trip to Dubai in the winter.

Monsieur Joe is the best offspring to date for Compton Place mare Pascali, who comes from the family of unbeaten Australian superstar filly Atlantic Jewel as well as European Group I winners Pass the Peace and Embassy.
