French Listed win for Footsteps 3yo

Progressive three-year-old Baby Foot (3c Footstepsinthesand-Baby Houseman, Oasis Dream) promises to be a useful flagbearer for Footstepsinthesand this year following a Listed success at Cagnes-sur-Mer on Sunday.

Jean-Claude Seroul’s home-bred, also successful at Cagnes in January, has now won four of his six starts and is now likely to step up to Group company after his victory in the Listed Prix de la Californie over a mile.

Trainer Frederic Rossi told Jour de Galop: “He made the difference in three strides there, thanks to his acceleration. I will give him a little break now and he’s likely to return in the G3 Prix de Fontainebleau. I’d prefer to avoid the Prix Djebel as it comes a bit too soon and is likely to be run on ground that would be too soft for him.”
