Trainer Harry Fry plans to target Jessber’s Dream (6m Milan-Maddy´s Supreme, by Supreme Leader) at Fairyhouse’s G1 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Novice Hurdle Championship Final after her G2 win on Friday.
The Milan mare, bred by Denis Noonan, took the G2 Jane Seymour Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown by eight lengths and Fry is now hoping she can win a G1 event he captured with Bitofapuzzle last year.
“She’s only done two canters since she ran on Saturday and that was extraordinary,” said Fry. “I couldn’t have expected a performance like that. She probably won’t even be entered for (the mares’ novices’ hurdle) Cheltenham as she loves these conditions and is a stayer in the making. She’ll go to Fairyhouse at Easter instead for the race we won last year with Bitofapuzzle.”
