Improving gelding Heitai (4g Fusaichi Pegasus x Sparkles of Luck, by Mr Sparkles) snared another feature race win when taking put the $96,000 Duncan F Kenner Stakes at Fair Grounds on the weekend.
Trained by Karl Broberg, Heiti raced away to win the six furlong dash by five lengths and has now won his last four races in a row.
“I broke a little slow, but I made the lead pretty quick and once I had the lead all I had to do was keep him on his toes, said winning rider Diego Saenz.
“He’s a very fast horse.”
The overall record for Heitai is now seven wins from 17 starts with prizemoney topping $390,000.
Heitai is a half-brother to stakes-placed Muffin and is the best of three winners from stakes-winner Sparkles of Luck.
