Kaspersky (Footstepsinthesand) winning the G2 Premio Carolo Vittadini in Milan

G1 aim for Footsteps G2 star Kaspersky

Kaspersky (4c Footstepsinthesand-Croanda, by Grand Lodge) continued a purple patch for Footstepsinthesand when landing a G2 victory in Milan on Sunday. The Endo Botti-trained colt, a La Nuova Sbarra home-bred, forced a strong gallop in the G2 Premio Carlo Vittadini and saw off the opposition to win by a length and three-quarters under Umberto Rispoli. Botti is considering a trip to Hong Kong later in the year for the progressive four-year-old. “The G1 Hong Kong Mile could be the right target for him. Kaspersky doesn’t like the soft ground and the autumn in Europe is against him. We have the time to think about it,” Botti told EBN. Rispoli added: “Kaspersky has improved a lot. He was a good three-year-old and now he is a strong four-year-old. I am pleased with the way he ran on, he can sustain a long drive.” Kaspersky was winning 24 hours after Rosso Corsa (4c Footstepsinthesand-Lady Scarlett, by Woodman) won the G3 Prix du Palais-Royal at Longchamp for Footstepsinthesand.
