G1 entered Fastnet colt stars on Irish debut

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Red Rocks Point (2c Fastnet Rock-My Emma, by Marju) looked another smart European juvenile for Fastnet Rock when justifying favouritism to score on his debut at Dundalk on Friday night.

The colt holds entries in the G1 Dewhurst Stakes and G1 Racing Post Trophy as well as the 2014 G1 Epsom Derby and, despite showing signs of greenness on his debut, he looks destined for bigger things after this comfortable victory under Joseph O’Brien.

“He is a grand horse and he is quite laid back. He was quite lazy during the race and he is by a very exciting sire,” the winning rider told irishracing.com

The blue-blooded Red Rocks Point is out of the G1 Prix Vermeille and G1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine and is a sibling to black-type performers Moments Of Joy, Light Of Morn and Admiral Of The Red.
