G1 glory for Yeats

There was a G1 success for Yeats on Sunday when Capivari (4g Yeats-Plique A Jour, by Hernando) triumphed in Auteuil.

The Francois Cottin-trained four-year-old, who also won in Listed company at the same course in September, marked himself at the forefront of his generation when winning the G1 Prix Renaud du Vivier over hurdles.

β€œI am delighted,” Cottin told JDG. β€œHe was a real fighter. He travelled very well and adapted to the ground, as I thought he would beforehand. I have always liked him.”

Capivari was bred in France by the Marquesa de Moratalla.
