Giant Mare Wins Grade Three

Itsonlyactingdad (Giant's Causeway) winning at Gulfstream

Lightly raced mare Itsonlyactingdad (4m Giant’s Causeway x Indy Business, by AP Indy) continued a run of success for the Todd Pletcher stable when taking out the $110,000 Grade III Matchmaker Stakes at Monmouth on Sunday.

Runner up in the Grade I Belmont Oaks Invitational last year, Itsonlyactingdad was sent to the sideline for eight months last year only returning in February this year.

She has gradually found her way back to form and forged clear to win this 1 and 1/8th mile contest by a length and a quarter.

A $270,000 Fasig Tipton August Yearling purchase, Itsonlyactingdad runs for Starlight Racing and has the overall record of four wins and three seconds from nine starts with earnings in excess of $370,000.

The 165th stakes-winner for champion sire Giant’s Causeway, she is the first winner for Indy Business, a half-sister to Grade II winner Real Cozzy, who was also multiple Grade I placed.
