Grade Three Winner for Scat Daddy

Talented juvenile Shared Property (2g Scat Daddy x Yoursmineours, by Belong to Me) made it two wins in as many starts when he took out the Grade III Arlington Washington Futurity on the weekend.

The Thomas Amoss trained gelding looked a horse of some potential when saluting easily on debut at Ellis Park and ran right up to that good form for this tougher assignment.

He settled midfield and powered home out wide in the stretch to win the one mile contest by a length.

“I had a lot of confidence in this horse,” said winning rider Leandro Goncalves.

“He’s been training great. Tom brought him into the race in very good form. He showed me he’s the kind of horse who will do whatever you want to (in order to) win and that’s the kind of horse you need to win races like this.”

A $90,000 purchase from the Fasig Tipton May 2YO Sale earlier this year, Shared Property races for Jerry Namy and is the second winner for smart stakes-winner Yoursmineours.

He is the second stakes-winner for his young sire Scat Daddy and will likely step up in class again for his next start in the Grade I Dixiana Breeders Futurity at Keeneland on October 8.
