High hopes for Mastercraftsman stakes winner Restorer

Trainer William Muir is looking forward to next season with Restorer (3c Mastercraftsman-Moon Empress, by Rainbow Quest) following the three-year-old’s stakes success at Newmarket on Saturday.

The Foursome Thoroughbreds-bred son of Mastercraftsman, who was G3-placed as a juvenile, was having a belated first start of 2015 as he took the Listed James Seymour Stakes by a length and a a half.

“We have always held Restorer in high regard which is why we ran him in the G1 Racing Post Trophy last year. We had him in the Guineas and the Irish Derby earlier in the year, but he had a problem. Hopefully, he´ll be a nice horse for next year,” said Muir.
