Hurdling debutant wins for Champs Elysees

Albert’s Back (3g Champs Elysees-Neath, by Rainbow Quest) looks another bright hurdling prospect for Champs Elysees after winning well on his jumping debut at Wetherby on Wednesday.

The Mick Easterby-trained juvenile made a great impression in this two-mile hurdle, getting up late to win by a length.

Brian Hughes rode a waiting race aboard Albert’s Back, taking the lead after the final obstacle to see off the well-regarded Alan King-trained newcomer Doctor Bartolo.
