Count Of Limonade (2c Duke Of Marmalade-Hoity Toity, by Darshaan) brought a first success for superstar Duke Of Marmalade when running out an easy maiden winner at Roscommon on Monday night.
The Aidan O’Brien–trained colt cruised to a three and a quarter length success in the seven-furlong contest.
“He kept it uncomplicated and he was genuine. He will be better on nicer ground as it is very soft out there,” jockey Joseph O’Brien told wwwirishracing.com. “I think that is one of Duke’s first winners and we have a few nice ones at home. He was very green in front but it was his first time on a track like that.”
Count Of Limonade, who was bred by K Lynch and S O’Sullivan, is a three-parts brother to G1 Coronation Stakes and G1 Matron Stakes heroine Lillie Langtry (5m Danehill Dancer-Hoity Toity, by Darshaan).
