G3 winner Faciascura (3f Oratorio-Sunsemperchi, by Montjeu) headed a great day for the on-fire Oratorio in Milan on Sunday.
Making her black-type debut, the Stefano Botti-trained filly made all to land the G3 Premio Mario Incisa Della Rocchetta by a length from Delicatezza (3f Danehill Dancer-Wickwing, by In the Wings).
The winner, who was bred by Azienda Agricola Francesca, headed to Milan on the back on a maiden and two conditions’ race victories and she looks sure to continue to make her mark this season.
On the same card., Endo Botti sent out Wedding Fair (5m Oratorio-Theatrical Act, by Theatrical) to win the Premio Paolo Mezzanotte. The mare, who was bred by Howard Spooner, was enjoying her second Listed success.
It has been a superb year in Europe for Oratorio and this double came three days after the Aga Khan’s Takar (3c Oratorio-Takarouna, by Green Dancer) ran away with the Listed Glencairn Stakes at Leopardstown.
Also in recent days, Silent Killer (3c Oratorio-Pinky Mouse, by Machiavellian) has been an impressive Listed winner in Milan and Cherry Collect (3f Oratorio-Holy Moon, by Hernando) confirmed herself one of Europe’s best three-year-old fillies when landing a rare Classic double in Italy’s 1,000 Guineas and Oaks.
